About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Post Production Video Specialist to join a creative business operating within the advertising industry.

This fully remote opportunity is available to candidates based in South Africa who can work Australian business hours.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for transforming raw footage and creative concepts into polished video content for advertising campaigns.

Working closely with a collaborative creative team, you will lead the post production process and ensure that each project meets high technical and creative standards.

Your responsibilities will include video editing, colour grading, audio mixing and adapting content for different platforms and formats.

You will also contribute creative ideas during concept development and pre production discussions.

This position is suited to someone who has strong technical editing capabilities, excellent visual storytelling instincts and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Post Production and Technical Editing

• Lead the complete video post production process from initial rough cuts through to final delivery.

• Edit footage into professional and engaging video content.

• Perform colour grading to achieve consistent visual quality.

• Complete audio mixing to ensure clear and professional sound.

• Adapt edits for multiple platforms, formats and aspect ratios.

• Prepare final video deliverables for social media, broadcast and digital platforms.

• Ensure technical and creative quality standards are consistently maintained.

Creative Collaboration and Storytelling

• Collaborate with the creative team to interpret project briefs and campaign objectives.

• Translate creative concepts into compelling visual content.

• Apply strong storytelling techniques through editing, composition and pacing.

• Contribute ideas during pre production planning and concept development.

• Work with colleagues to refine visual content and improve campaign impact.

• Stay informed about emerging video trends, platform requirements and content formats.

Project Organisation and Delivery

• Manage several video editing projects simultaneously.

• Maintain organised project files, footage and digital assets.

• Ensure efficient post production workflows.

• Meet agreed project deadlines without compromising quality.

• Adapt effectively to changing priorities and creative requirements.

• Maintain excellent attention to detail throughout the editing process.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional video editing role.

• Previous experience within an agency or production environment is advantageous.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

• Experience in professional colour grading and audio mixing.

• Solid understanding of lighting, audio capture and on location video production.

• Excellent storytelling instincts and a strong eye for visual composition, pacing and detail.

• Ability to manage multiple editing projects and meet deadlines.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Confidence working independently while collaborating with a remote creative team.

• Must be based in South Africa and able to work Australian business hours.
